Five Minute Tomato Sauce Recipe
Here are two recipes for tomato sauce:
Recipe 1: Simple Tomato Sauce
Ingredients:
- 2 cans of diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic and sauté until they are softened and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Add the diced tomatoes and stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the sauce cool for a few minutes.
- Using an immersion blender, puree the sauce until it is smooth and creamy.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
Recipe 2: Spicy Tomato Sauce
Ingredients:
- 2 cans of crushed tomatoes
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic and sauté until they are softened and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Add the crushed tomatoes and red pepper flakes and stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
