Grilled Pizza
Here are two different recipes for grilled pizza that you can try:
Recipe 1: Grilled Margherita Pizza
Ingredients:
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat a grill to high heat.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface until it is about 1/4-inch thick.
- Brush the dough with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Carefully transfer the dough to the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the crust is slightly charred and cooked through.
- Remove the pizza dough from the grill and spread the pizza sauce evenly over the crust.
- Arrange the sliced mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
- Return the pizza to the grill and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the pizza from the grill and sprinkle with fresh torn basil leaves.
- Slice and serve immediately.
Recipe 2: Grilled BBQ Chicken Pizza
Ingredients:
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup cooked and shredded chicken
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat a grill to high heat.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface until it is about 1/4-inch thick.
- Brush the dough with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Carefully transfer the dough to the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the crust is slightly charred and cooked through.
- Remove the pizza dough from the grill and spread the BBQ sauce evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded chicken, red onion, cilantro, and cheddar cheese on top of the sauce.
- Return the pizza to the grill and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the pizza from the grill and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
